Lauk Taugeh Ikan Masin (Beansprout with Salted Fish)


300 grams beansprout, cleaned and the roots plucked

2 pcs of fresh red chilli (thinly sliced)

1 small onion (thinly sliced)

2 garlics (thinly sliced)

1 pc of boneless salted fish (soaked and cut into small pcs) - if you don't like salted fish, you can omit it.

1 stalk spring onions (cut)

1 tablespoon finely ground anchovies

1 pc beancurd (cut into dice)

fried shallots (for garnishing - optional)

salt to taste

some oil 


  1. Fry the beancurd till slightly brown, put aside.
  2. Fry the cut onion, garlic, red chilli and ground anchovies till slightly soft.
  3. Add spring onions, beansprout and salt. Once half cooked, add the fried beancurd.
